Transit
A type C transit visa allows you to stay a maximum of five days in the Schengen area, prior to travelling onwards to a country located outside the borders of the Schengen area. Documents to be submitted with a visa application:

• A valid travel document (e.g. international passport) valid for a minimum of 03 months after expiry of the applied visa. It is advisable that your passport contains at least two double blank pages reserved for visas (blank front and back) for each applicant (so, if a child travels with parent in the parent’s passport, there should be 4 blank pages (blank front and back), i.e. 8 blank pages.
• A visa application form correctly completed, signed and accompanied by two recent passport photographs bearing a true likeness to the applicant.
• A valid entry visa for the country of destination.
• Proof of a valid travel insurance policy, either individual or group, with a minimum cover of 30,000 Euro.
• A Proof of transport arrangements (confirmed airplane ticket or bookings).
• Proof of a hotel reservation or a letter of invitation. Original documents proving the justification of the visa application.

Important :

1. The documents listed above are only the basic documents to be submitted in all cases. Additional documents may be requested by the Consulate and Applicants may also be invited for an interview.
   
2. The above mentioned type 'A' visa is for Airport Transit only and not valid for any other Schengen country.
