"Au pair" Visas
Documents to be submitted with a visa application:

• A valid travel document (e.g. international passport) valid for one year after the visa issuance date. It is advisable that your passport contains at least two double blank pages reserved for visas (blank front and back) for each applicant (so, if a child travels with parent in the parent’s passport, there should be 4 blank pages (blank front and back), i.e. 8 blank pages.
• Two visa application forms correctly completed, signed and accompanied by three recent photographs bearing a true likeness to the applicant.
• Original of your work permit (type B work permit)
• An extract from your judicial record (Police clearance), not more than six months prior to the date of application and covering the last 5 years.
• The copy of the internal passport: personal data page (page 3), military duty (page 13), marital status (pages 14, 15), children (pages 16, 17), information about issued passports (page 19)
• A medical certificate completed by a Belgian Embassy or Consulate approved medical centre not more than six months prior to the date of application
• Documents should be submitted in original + 2 photocopies. All originals are returned.

Important :

1. The documents listed above are only the basic documents to be submitted in all cases. Additional documents may be requested by the Embassy or Consulate.
2. Official documents issued in Russia or in Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan must be apostilled / legalized and accompanied by a certified translation also apostilled/legalized.
3. The above mentioned type D visa is a one entry national visa and requires registration in the Belgian population registers on arrival.
