In addition to a valid passport with a visa (except for exempted nationals),
every foreigner, when entering Belgium, should be in a position to produce to
the Immigration Officer the following documents:
Concerning his/her Stay in Belgium

for tourism : hotel reservation, documents from a travel agency

for a professional visit : letter from the employer, invitation from a Belgium
firm or organisation

for a private visit : original "3bis or Formal Obligation plus a Letter of Invitation
Concerning his/her Means of Living

Cash, Traveller's Cheques, Valid International Credit Card
Proof of a Medical Insurance

covering all type of expenses including doctors and/or hospital fees and social
assistance
